Art of Birth presents a whole new approach to childbirth preparation and transition to parenthood. It puts you and your needs in the center and urges you to make the right choices for you, right from the start. Art of Birth offers classes based on the Birth Works® approach, with an innovative and experiential attitude designed to develop women's self confidence, trust, and faith in their ability to give birth. Giving birth becomes an opportunity for self development and growth.

Art of Birth is for anyone preparing for birth: first-time parents as well as women who have had previous vaginal or cesarean births; couples who wish to give birth at a hospital, birthing center, or at home. Classes can be taken anytime during pregnancy, but we highly recommend taking them early in pregnancy or even before.

About Danielle Harel

Danielle Harel is the Founder and President of Art of Birth. She is a wife and a mother of two young children. Danielle is a Birth Works childbirth educator, has a doctorate in Human Sexuality (DSH), Masters in Clinical Social Work (MSW), and BA in Psychology and Educational Counseling. She has over 14 years of experience counseling couples, women, men, groups, and children.

Danielle received her PhD from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco, researching orgasmic and passionate childbirth. Her dissertation is available here.

Danielle founded Art of Birth because she believes that the most effective way to induce a positive change in people's lives is by helping to enhance the initial bond between babies and their mothers and families through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. She trusts that being educated helps people take responsibility for the choices in their lives and empower them immensely.

Danielle combines her expertise as a childbirth educator and a sexologist to offer unique classes and workshops, such as Passionate Childbirth. Her sexuality practice is featured at Celeste and Danielle.
